トイレの利用に心のバリアフリーを！
When it comes to how people use restrooms,make your mind “accessible”!

「心のバリアフリー」…様々な心身の特性や感じ方が異なる人々も、互いを尊重し相互に理解を深めようとコミュニケーションをとり、支え合うこと。
多機能トイレは、一般トイレ付近にある男女共用トイレで、車椅子使用者、オストメイト、乳幼児連れの方等が利用するための設備など様々な機能を備えているトイレです。これらの設備を必要な方が気兼ねなく使えるようにゆずり合いましょう。
一般トイレについても、車椅子使用者用、オストメイト用、乳幼児連れの方用など個別の機能を備えたトイレの設置が進められています。

●トイレにある設備の様々な機能はこのように使われています。
Here are some of the ways in which multipurpose restroom facilities are used.
■車椅子使用者
Wheelchair users
・車椅子を回転できる広いスペースが必要
Require wider spaces that permit wheelchairs to be rotated
・便器に移乗するために手すりを使用
Use handrails to transfer to toilet seats
■オストメイト（人工肛門等保有者）
Persons with ostomies(colostomies,etc.)
・パウチ（便をためておく袋）から排泄するために汚物流しを使用
Use facilities to empty waste from pouches(such as colostomy bags)
■介助が必要な人
Persons requiring assistance
・介助者も一緒に入れる広いスペースが必要
Require wider spaces that allow caregivers to accompany them
・見た目には分からなくても、例えば大人であっても、介助が必要なために異性同伴で入れるトイレが必要
Reqire unisex restrooms to allow caregivers of the opposite sex to assist them,even if they are adults or other persons for which this need is not obvious

・ベビーカーで入るために広いスペースが必要
Require wider spaces to accommodate strollers
・子供を座らせるためにベビーチェアを使用
Use child seats to have their children sit
・おむつ替えをするために、着替え台やおむつ替えシートを使用
Use changing tables and diaper-changing tables to change diapers

●多機能トイレの困りごと
Multipurpose restroom concerns
・多機能トイレが他の人によって使用されていると、ここしか使えない車椅子使用者が困ってしまいます。他にも、男女共用の多機能トイレしか使えない人もいます。
If another person is using a multipurpose restroom ,wheelchair users,who have no other restrooms they can use,are inconvenienced.
There are also people who have no other options but to use the unisex multipurpose restrooms.
・トイレ内に閉ボタンを押してから外に出てしまうと、施錠されてしまいます。
If someone presses the button to close the restroom door as they leave,the door will be locked from the inside.
・おむつ換えシートがたたまれていないと、車椅子使用者が出入りできないことがあります。
If the diaper-changing table has not been folded up,wheelchair users might not be able to enter or exit the restroom.
